At the meeting of the Cinque Ports Lodge on 1st October 2025, Worshipful Brother Philip Ansell was formally recognised for an outstanding

Fifty Years of Continuous Service to Freemasonry.

To mark this significant milestone, Worshipful Brother Jake Jackson, a Grand Officer and fellow member of the Cinque Ports Lodge, presented Phil with a Certificate signed by the Provincial Grand Master. The presentation was accompanied by a brief account of Phil’s life both within and beyond the Craft, and took place in the company of many Masonic friends and Lodge members who gathered to celebrate the occasion.

Over the course of his half-century in Freemasonry, Worshipful Brother Phil has remained a deeply committed and active Mason. He has held office for the majority of those years and currently serves the Lodge as both Chaplain and Membership Officer. He has also had the honour of occupying the Chair of both his London Lodge, where he was initiated, and the Cinque Ports Lodge.

Phil’s dedication, integrity, and steady contribution to the Craft exemplify the finest traditions of Freemasonry. His fifty years of service are a testament not only to his personal commitment but also to the enduring values that unite us all as Freemasons.
